Spring has sprung and so have some fun new fashion trends that’ll take us through the season and into Summer. With restrictions slowly loosening up and people getting more optimistic about the state of the world, the excitement is definitely translating to the styles we’re seeing. For a girl that normally sticks to neutrals and simple street style, my closet has also taken a slight detour with the pops of color and silhouettes that are dominating the scene. Here are my favorite trends to shop for Spring/Summer 2021:
Pastels
Practically siblings with the floral trend for Spring, pastel shades are soft, comforting, and dreamy. They elicit a sense of calmness that we could all use right about now.
Bubblegum Pink / Lime Green
Out of all the colors, these two are owning the spotlight. They’ve been dominating from full on monochromatic looks to a bright pop of color in our favorite accessories like handbags and shoes.
2000’s Revival
Patchwork, halter tops, exposed seams, and platforms. The 90’s are back and in full force this Spring. I think we can credit Gen Z for making these fashionably acceptable again.
Knit Sets
Move over sweatsuits. Knit sets are the perfect transitional trend that borrows from the coziness of winter. I love how effortlessly a knit set can make you look put together and still make you feel so comfortable at the same time.
Crochet / Mesh / Cutouts
Skin is in. Those post-quarantine bodies are coming out to play in fun skin exposing materials and designs. These pieces are getting me excited for those soon-to-be beach days.
