I don’t know what it is about this pattern but I feel like I’ve been gravitating toward blue and white stripes all summer. Anyone else? Maybe it’s the nautical vibes but I love how clean and crisp it looks especially on a one piece like this dress by Cooperative. I found it in store and am so glad I tried it on because I would have never bought it online seeing it on Urban Outfitters’ website. I am pretty hesitant about off-the-shoulder tops because my arms are a little bigger so it usually doesn’t look quite right but the straps on this dress really help balance it out.
All the details are very on trend but the pattern keeps it timeless and elevated. I love how the ruffle detailing goes across the chest and wraps around the back to give off a slightly more feminine look. Even the sleeves are slightly puffed which adds drama since the overall shape of the dress can be boxy. I went for a fairly simple look here by pairing it with these nude suede block heels but I can totally see it worn with gold sandals or some clean white sneakers as well. Another tip is that you could wear the dress tucked into a pair of jeans or a denim skirt so it doubles as a top.
