Developing a good skincare routine doesn’t always mean you have to spend a ton of money on products. As much as I love a bougie Sephora haul, drugstore brands have really come a long way in recent years to keep up with the trends and make effective products more easily accessible. Whenever I’m looking for affordable alternatives, I know I can always count on finding something at my local Target or online from these brands. Here are my top picks for each step of your skincare routine.
Cleansers
As always, double cleansing is the way to go so I have my favorite balm and oil followed by gentle water-based cleansers.
TONERS
While all of these will balance your skin after cleansing, I especially like toners that also have a little chemical exfoliant like glycolic acid to help remove any remaining dirt, oil, or makeup.
SERUMS & Treatments
There are so many to choose from but these all offer a variety of skin benefits from brightening to resurfacing, anti-aging, and hydration.
Moisturizers & Face oils
Make sure you seal all your previous hard work with a moisturizer that works best for your skin, whether that’s a cream or gel consistency. If you use an oil, remember to apply after the moisturizer.
Sunscreen
SPF is key and all of these offer great protection when you’re exposed to the sun. Make sure you’re reapplying!
Masks
When you and your skin is in need of some extra TLC, these will do the trick. I pretty much exclusively buy my sheet masks from the drugstore and the Bliss one is like a dupe of the Glow Recipe’s.
