Denim Skirt 3 Ways

Remember that big order I placed on Missguided? Well, this denim skirt was another pickup and I’m really excited about it. Denim skirts have been making a pretty big comeback lately so when I spotted this on the site I had to get it. It’s the perfect length and I love the frayed hem details. It also has a bit of stretch which makes it super comfortable to move in and the subtle side slit gives you some extra room. I consider denim to be a neutral so even though this is a trendy piece I knew I could style it up in so many different ways so I wanted to share!

The first look is like one of my go-to, don’t-have-time-to-think outfits. Crewneck sweatshirts are a staple in my wardrobe because they can be worn with pretty much everything. I admit that you do have to be careful at times with sweatshirts because you don’t want to look too careless but I thought this marled Aritzia one would be a good balance to the denim. I tucked it in slightly to maintain some shape and paired the look with my white Stan Smith sneakers for a minimal off-duty vibe.

The second outfit is similarly relaxed and easily re-creatable. Graphic tees and big logos have also been trending so I went for my Adidas logo t-shirt. This skirt has a little bit of a high-rise waist which helps accentuate your figure but one thing I’d suggest is tucking in your top so you don’t end up losing your shape. I’ve had this trench coat for about 2 years now and it’s been the perfect one for this LA weather because it’s on the thinner side. I wanted to break up the dark tones so throwing this on top evens out the color palette and makes it perfect for springtime.

The last look is the most tailored and something I’d wear for an event or special occasion. I’ve always loved how a crisp white blouse looks with distressed denim so this outfit seemed like a perfect fit. I’ve personally found it challenging to find the right white button down blouse but this one from Zara has boyfriend style characteristics which is what sold me. To finish it off, I opted for these heeled mules to help elongate my legs and a black leather clutch to keep the overall look elevated.

P.S. Some of the original items are now out-of-stock so I did my best to link some alternatives above!
