I recently did a pretty big haul from one of my favorite online stores, Missguided, and I can’t wait to share all the pieces here soon! I know a couple posts back I mentioned my New Year’s resolution was to limit myself to one splurge a month and it’s safe to say that I broke that this month. Missguided recently had a 50% off sitewide sale and I obviously couldn’t resist. I mean, it’s a new season so I kind of went a little crazy but you’ll see everything I got sooner or later.
I’ve been totally obsessed with nude tones lately and this cropped hoodie from Missguided is another addition to my wardrobe. I don’t know what it is but blush/nude tones have been catching my eye lately and I think my hair agrees (a separate post on my hair journey coming soon). Surprisingly I’m not usually one for cropped styles but I couldn’t help but be drawn to these sleeves. The cuffed detailing definitely gives it a little extra something and the funnel neck is perfect for transitioning from the windy weather into spring. I’m so tempted to get back on Missguided and buy the other colors! I will say it runs slightly oversized so I would size down if you’re looking to get one yourself.
For this look, I went for a simple black jersey midi skirt and my go-to Steve Madden sock booties. It’s slowly starting to warm back up in L.A. but I can already see myself pairing this hoodie with so many outfits well into summer — distressed boyfriend jeans for a laid-back look or even leggings while traveling. I know the dangling straps can be a little intimidating so I’ve also been wrapping them around the wrist and tucking them in to keep it a little more understated. Overall, I love the athleisure vibes of this sweatshirt since that tends to be more my style but the fact that it can so easily be dressed up or down is definitely a win.
