I was pretty reluctant to hop on the denim overall trend but I finally gave in… I saw this pair at Cotton On and thought I might as well try them on just to see what the deal is. The last time I wore a pair of overalls was probably in grade school but I don’t think I even liked them back then. Funny how old styles become new again, right? Anyway, I love the relaxed fit of these shortalls and the distressed treatment on the shorts. The fit was what surprised me the most. I thought they would just end up looking like a potato sack on me which is the reason they didn’t appeal to me right off the bat but these hugged in the right places and still maintained an easy casual vibe. They’re also very versatile and can be styled like a pair of jeans: striped, cropped, whatever top you want really. I paired mine with a sweatshirt-tee, slip on sandals, and my bucket bag for a super laid back look. Perfect for a day exploring DTLA and hiding my food baby after having eaten some Chicken Tikka Poutine at Badmaash LA (highly recommend!).
